Lauren grew up in the mountains.
For a year after graduating from Boston University, she worked as a 2024 Pulitzer Center Reporting Fellow. She spent time in the Nepalese Himalayas, reporting on climate migration and female mountaineering guides along the Annapurna Circuit Trail. She has published her pieces– three written stories, a short documentary, and a photo essay– with the Nepali Times, the Pulitzer Center, and Alpinist Magazine.
Lauren currently works at Strava in New York City as a Social Content Video Editor on their creative team. She has experience in visual journalism, documentary production, project management, and marketing through internships at KGB Productions, the European International Film Festival, Gnarly Bay Productions, the Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange, Tiny Pyro Productions, Gimlet Media, and freelancing at Teton Media Works. Her previous documentary work includes films highlighting athletes in the mountaineering and ultra-running communities. She recently worked as a surf photographer and cinematographer at a surf camp in Porto, Portugal, and has additionally spent time living and working in Wanaka, New Zealand.
She grew up on the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, snowboarding, hiking, and backpacking—inspiring much of the work that she creates.
